I can't wait to read the third installment in the series. Clearly, the limitations around javascript put in place for security reasons make for some big challenges in tracking behavior in order to serve effective targeted ads across sites/domains and report on the same. Since the js security model is unlikely to change anytime soon to allow for intelligent privilege-controlled trust networks on the browser-side, we need some clever solutions to work around the problem on both client+server. I hope you plan to solve the problem for us in a more elegant way. I'll be watching my RSS reader with high expectations ;) Great article, Mike.
